3-Day Ski Touring Program
The three-day ski touring program in El Chalten offers a deeper and more progressive alpine experience, ideal for those looking for more time in the mountains, greater continuity of skiing, and access to high-mountain sectors with less pressure and more flexibility.
Based in the Cerro Creston Valley, the itinerary focuses mainly on the Arroyo Mosquito, Cerro Creston, and Cerro Vespignani valleys, three classic areas that complement each other in terrain type, slope angle, and orientation. Operating from a mountain refuge creates more comfort and lets the group concentrate energy on skiing instead of daily logistics.

What the Experience Is Like
Before the start, we meet in El Chalten to review equipment, assess ski level, and analyze weather and snow conditions. Based on that, the overall plan and daily objectives are defined. Over the three days, skiing is done from a fixed refuge base, allowing lighter packs, more efficient timing, and the possibility of choosing the best valley each day.
The additional time in the mountains makes it easier to manage weather windows, repeat good lines, and build a more natural progression that combines technique, terrain reading, and the enjoyment of ski touring in high mountain terrain.
